International Children’s Education
Sharing resources, supporting families and teachers overseas...
You are here: Parents
Parents have a big concern when thinking of serving/working overseas. "How do we educate our children? Will we be scarring them for life by taking them away from home?" There are not easy answers, but we have found most children are better for an experience out of their home country, and they are very resilient.
Below are resources that we have developed or put together to help families as they seek to provide for their children's education away from their home country.
Education Options - a database of schools and home study programs around the world which primarily focus on education for expatriate children. The list is not exhaustive.
Articles - A collection of reprinted articles from our publication Parents Teaching Overseas.
Publications - Materials to help teachers, parents, and children embrace the challenges and opportunities encountered when living cross culturally.
Transition Resources - Links to resources on our website dealing with transitions.
Related Links - Links to other sites that might be helpful to parents working outside their home country.
